How tips usually charge
Tip pricing is set by each operator. The pattern is usually a weighbridge charge, a vehicle or trailer load charge, or a separate item charge for material that needs special handling.

How do I find my nearest tip?
Type your postcode or suburb into the search box. The map pins every facility we hold and the list beside it sorts them by distance from your area, so the closest tip or transfer station is at the top.
What is the difference between a transfer station and a landfill?
A transfer station receives loads, sorts material and sends waste or recycling on to the next facility. A landfill is where approved waste is buried. Some sites do both, but the entry rules still come from the operator.
Do I need to book or can I just turn up?
Most tips and transfer stations take casual drop-offs during opening hours, but some require a booking for large or commercial loads. Check the operator source on the facility page before you drive.
Why does sorting waste often cost less?
Sorted loads are easier to direct to green waste, metal, recycling or recovery bays. Mixed loads need more handling and are usually priced as general waste.
What loads can get rejected at the gate?
Facilities can reject unsafe, leaking or uncovered loads. Asbestos, chemicals, gas bottles, batteries and commercial waste often need special handling. Check the source before you load the trailer.
